Day and evening classes at a variety of regional locations support your efforts to get your diploma, master the English language and other skills and earn your citizenship. Academic classes are FREE and offer flexible scheduling to meet your unique needs. Academic offerings include:
Online Learning On-line education consists of courses that you can take through the Middletown Adult Education web site. The structure of the classes will vary depending upon the course that you take. In all cases, however, you can communicate with an instructor and with your fellow students through chat rooms, bulletin boards and e-mail.
Adult High School - Credit Diploma Program (AHS - CDP) Complete a minimum of twenty five credits and earn a Middletown Board of Education Adult High School Diploma! It's never too late!
ESL & U.S. Citizenship Programs Would you like to improve your English communication, at home and on the job? Do you want to feel more at home in your community? Are you interested in furthering your education or training? We offer programs in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL) and Citizenship.
GED Program
Do you need your high school diploma? Do you need a job or to advance to a better paying position? Do you want to take college courses? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, the GED may be the right program for you! GED programs are designed for students who have not completed their formal high school education. Students prepare to take the 4 part exam to earn a State of Connecticut High School Diploma.
Adult Basic Skills Program Have you been out of school for a while? Would you like to improve your reading, writing or math skills? Are you trying to get a new job or promotion? Would you like to enter a training program? Maybe you have some personal goals that require better reading, writing or math. The Middletown Adult Education ABE program might be for you!
Family Learning The Family Learning programs of Middletown Adult Education bring parents and children together to share the excitement and joy of learning. The programs encourage literacy, reinforce the parent-child relationship and enhance parenting skills.
