However, due to school holidays and evening school events, it is sometimes necessary to have a break in the sessions. Teachers will provide information on class dates on the first evening of class.

Residents & Non-Residents
"Resident" means a person residing in Middletown. All others pay the fee indicated for non-residents, except senior citizens and people with disabilities from certain towns who qualify for the "senior fee" as explained below.
Seniors (ages 62 and older) and people with disabilities residing in certain towns are eligible to pay a special rate because of agreements with their Boards of Education. This reduced rate is called the SENIOR FEE. Seniors and people with disabilities from the following towns are eligible for this special fee: Middletown, Cromwell, Durham, Middlefield, Rockfall, East Haddam, Higganum, Haddam, Killingworth, Cobalt, Haddam Neck, Middle Haddam, Deep River, Chester, Essex, East Hampton, Portland, Ivoryton and Centerbrook. All other Senior Citizens and people with disabilities pay the non-resident fee listed with the course description. Sorry, but there are no senior rates for bus trips.
People with Disabilities
All people with disabilities will receive a discount. The discount fee will be the senior's fee. If there is no Senior fee, then there will be a 30% discount.
(Due to weather) Whenever the Middletown schools are closed due to bad weather, Adult Education classes do not meet. Listen to radio stations WTIC AM1080 or WMRD AM1050, or watch Channel 30 (WVIT).
